In todays society it seems to be all about length and style. Color and a variety of hair techniques. But in most cases, I have seen women more and more conscious about the well being of their natural hair. It's the frustration and anxiety that comes with caring for your hair that make some women revert back to weave extensions, cuts and other fancy techniques.
I believe in my heart that women will become more understanding about the process of caring for their hair and more patient about growth! We have a tendency to expect growth now and today but if you think about it, we have been experiencing hair loss or certain struggles for months or even years. It's no way that our hair will recover rapidly , real results will take time and nurturing. Simple steps such as sleeping with a satin scarf to protect your hair from breakage on cotton sheets and pillow cases.
So why is healthy hair important? Because natural hair is the one thing that will never leave us. We will always have it, no matter how often we switch hairstyles. Natural Hair Stays! Unless you willing go bald but it still grows back and the goal is for it to grow back healthy. So why not care for it, your hair is apart of you like any other limb on your body. We might have to switch our mindset and keep from comparing what we have to what others have. It's time to deal with what God has given us and do good by it. It's way more frustrating to know you have hair but can't do anything with it because you haven't taken the responsibility of taking good care of it. Rather than, accept it, nurture it and keep going. Don't worry about the length or the fact that your hair is not full enough. Just trim it! You'll see fullness instantly.
Protect you hair. Nurture your hair. Feed your hair. because it's forever apart of you!
Peace & Blessings!
